Human Resources Development Foundation, Inc. (HRDF) is a non-profit corporation organized to receive and manage contributions, grants, and bequests. These and other donations from our generous supporters are used exclusively to benefit programs for the men, women, and children in need served by HRDI.
HRDF was formed in 1986 to address the needs of our clients that could not be met by the traditional funding sources. Federal, state, and local funding has a vital role to play, but it cannot always provide the client with the additional care or attention needed for him or her to take that next step, whether it be maintaining a drug-free lifestyle or becoming reintegrated into society after incarceration.
For 20 years, HRDF has been actively engaged in fundraising efforts that support the programs and activities provided to the clients of HRDI and that enable the further growth and enhancement of the organization. The Foundation sponsors fundraising events, supports annual awards for community service, and makes possible other HRDI traditions such as Client Picnics and Client Thanksgiving and Christmas Dinners. The Foundation is also an ambassador that has been successful in introducing more and more people to our programs, clients, and goals.
Today’s difficult economic climate has endangered funding for many programs that serve those most in need, making it even more important for HRDF to diversify funding and find alternative avenues to assist, support, and enhance HRDI.
