Assistant Principal

HRDI is seeking an Assistant Principal to maintain focus on the adaptive work of building instructional skills, developing leadership capacity, and cognitive coaching abilities of instructors, while effectively guiding them in the fundamentals of common planning and data driven instructional practices.
In addition, the Assistant Principal will:
· Promote a widely shared institutional belief that every child deserves and can have expert instruction and that all teachers must be advocates for students
· Energetically lead the Instructional Leadership Team with an emphasis on building the capacity of the Academic Department Chairs to effectively lead their teams in key areas including, but not limited to data-driven instructional practices and coaching
· Models strong teaching by planning a wide array of engaging activities in professional development
· Guides Academic Department Chairs implementation of selected curriculum with fidelity, differentiated instructional practices, and full use of interim assessments
· Work closely with the Instructional Leadership Team to analyze school-wide summative data and devise an effective Targeted Instructional Area (TIA); Support teachers in successfully implementing instructional strategies to support the school-wide TIA
· Support the school’s teachers by continually observing them in their classrooms and engaging in developmental post-conferences
· Continually reflect on and document the effectiveness of school-wide interim assessments and make mid-course adjustments when necessary
· Develop and lead school-based professional development and faculty meetings centered around teaching and learning
· Guide Academic Department Chairs in facilitating focused, data-centered, healthy and effective common planning meetings
· Ensure proper implementation of chosen curricula for the school
This position requires a minimum:
· Know how to use data to drive the instructional practices of a school
· Strong leadership, collaboration, and communication skills; ability to multi-task
· Ability to work a diverse group of professionals around a clear goals and objectives
· Ability to take a project and run with it with limited supervision/instructions

Residential Area Manager - Alabama

HRDI is seeking Full-Time Residential Area Managers to oversee and direct all operations within the Alabama Mental Health/Mental Retardation residential facilities.
In addition, the Residential Area Managers will:
· Establishes and maintains effective working relations with appropriate state and local agencies with advocates and families of agency clientele.
· Oversees the maintenance activities of all residential facilities by arranging for services, repairs, etc.
· Develops, implements and monitors program plans.
· Responsible for securing clients for all programs.

Direct Care Staff - Alabama

HRDI is seeking Part-time and floater Direct Care Staff to assist and instruct physically and mentally developmentally disabled individuals living in residential facility.
In addition, the Direct Care Staff will:
· Under the direction of immediate supervision of the residential house manager.
· Responsible for assisting and instructing program participants in the areas of grooming and hygiene, bathing, eating, toileting and all other activities of daily living.
· Participates in staff meetings and in-service training.
· Driving of agency vehicles for the purpose of program participant transportation, shopping or other related program business.
· Responsible for dispensing of medication, housecleaning, procurement of groceries, meal preparation and other tasks in the maintenance of facilities.
· Knowledgeable about specific rules and regulations affecting the program for each funding source.
· Responds to resident emergencies and decides proper response to incidents.
· Maintains all certification in CPR, first aid and other educational and licensing requirements.
· Attends and may facilitate staff meetings and service planning meetings.
· Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.
This position requires a minimum:
· High School Diploma/GED
· Knowledge of mental retardation and basic principles of rehabilitation
· Ability to lift physically disabled program participants when attending to basic grooming and hygiene
and other activities of daily living
· Possession of a valid driver’s license

Driver

HRDI is seeking a Driver to transport people and/or materials to designated locations within scheduled time, under direct supervision of authorized supervisor.
In addition, the Driver will:
· Transports eligible clients in accordance with prearranged schedule, or specific clients in accordance with supervisor’s request OR Delivers or makes pickups of discarded clothing and equipment, of food, etc. as required
· Maintains communication with clients, significant others, and transportation coordinator as appropriate
· Recommends changes in route as circumstances warrant
· Reports accidents, keeps records as required

· Assess and report the need for mechanical repair
· May be assigned other duties depending on Company needs

Director - Alcohol & Substance Abuse

HRDI is seeking a Director to manage the development, delivery and maintenance of the program’s service delivery system, funding, and all systems which support the alcohol and substance abuse program.
In addition, the Director will:
· Provide leadership by acting as liaison to various funding sources, monitoring program compliance with all funding sources requirements
· Work in tandem to the with Medical Director and Psychiatrists while providing leadership to RN’s.
· Evaluate the services offered by the program in relation to specific goals and standards, and recommends modification to the where appropriate.
· Provide general direction for maintaining qualified staff within the program by working closely with the Office of Human Resources.
· Maintain good relations with community organizations, local political groups, and advisory councils - Represent the division and the agency to the public and other social service and government agencies, and maintain an effective working relations with each.
· Direct all financial operation of the division - - Assist in budget development with the Chief Clinical Officer and/or Program Supervisors
· Recommend personnel action(s), hiring, termination etc.
· Prepare reports for the CEO/President, Chief Clinical Officer and/or the Board of Directors when required
· Direct the activities of the Program Managers concerning facilities maintenance, contract compliance, and timely submission of required reports.
· Keep abreast of current trends in particular service area.
· Responsible for the overall success of programs.
· Work closely with Chief Clinical Officer and other management personnel, providing assistance and coordination duties where necessary and appropriate.
· Direct development functions by participating in fund raising activities.
· Provide leadership and manage in-service training programmatic and clinical staff.
This position requires a minimum:
· Master’s Degree from an accredited college or university
· At least ten (10) years of professional experience in Alcohol & Substance Abuse arena is required, including five (5) years of supervisory and/or administrative experience
· Applicable licenses or state certification in the human services/social services field (i.e. LCSW; LCPC; RN; MISA; CADC, etc.) Knowledge of Medicaid rules; DASA rules and regulations; quality improvement.

HRDI is seeking full-time and floater Residential Cooks to assists in providing quality food services which meets resident needs.
In addition, the Residential Cook will:
· Prepares meal for population of facility
· Appropriately follows and posts menus as directed by agency nutritionist or supervisor
· Maintains inventory of foods and food supplies, and submits requisition of needs to appropriate staff
· Maintains equipment in clean and proper operating order
· Responsible for safety and sanitation of all foods stored, prepared and served
· Responsible for teams of clients and other staff as they assist in preparation and storage of food
· Provides training to food service assistants
· Responsible for following all public health rules and regulations regarding food service delivery
· Prepares monthly reports on operation of Food Preparation Component of Program
· All duties are to be in accordance with the City of Chicago, and State of Illinois guidelines regarding food service
· All other duties as assigned
This position requires a minimum:
· Must posses a valid City and State Food Service license
· High School diploma or GED equivalent
· Special training in food service and nutrition recommended
· Thorough understanding of public health rules and regulations regarding food safety and sanitation

HRDI is seeking a Recovery Specialist to serve as a member of the team and provide support and consultation to encourage and model recovery behaviors with consumers in the Mental Health Program.
In addition, the Recovery Specialist will:
•Provide support, advocacy, and encouragement to the consumers enrolled in the Mental Health Program
•Assist team in reviewing and developing consumer treatment plans and assessing consumer’s progress in treatment
•Assist team during consultation with consumer and/or family members as needed
•Provide assistance in crisis intervention
•Attend and participate in team/clinical meeting(s)
•Lead/Co-Lead Peer Support Groups
•Conduct rap sessions with consumers based on their topics of interest
•Encourage consumers to express opinions and feelings on issues which concern them
•Plan and implement socialization and recreation activities in group sessions
•Provide leadership in scheduling special events according to interests, needs, requests of consumer participants in Mental Health
•Assist in training agency staff on awareness of consumer potential in work and leadership activities
•Attend and participate in the Consumer Advocacy Meeting
•Attend and participate in metro-south network meeting
•Conduct consumer satisfaction surveys
•Serves as liaison between HRDI and regional, state, or national organization(s)
•Provide job orientation to new team members

HRDI is seeking a Mental Health Professional (MHP) and Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP) to provide direct services to individuals as specified in their treatment plan.
In addition, the MHP/QMHP will:
·Assure that the services specified in the services plan are being provided
·Assure the participation of team members, the individual, the guardian, the family and necessary professionals unless the individual is not legally disabled and does not desire the involvement of the family or the family refuses to participate
·Assure and document in the individual’s record, at least quarterly, that the individual’s residence meets environmental standards as specified in Subpart C
·Identify and address gaps in the service provision
·Monitor the individual’s status in relation to the services plan
·Advocate for the individual’s rights and services
·Facilitate individual linkage and transfer
·Assure that information specified by the services plan is included in the individual’s record
·Assure availability of a written services plan to all participants
·Perform medication count and report needed medication to appropriate individual while training clients in this function
·Observe medication ingestion and reports any negative side effects
·Perform other duties as assigned
This position requires a minimum:
•(MHP)Bachelors Degree or LPN or a minimum of five years experience in mental health or human services under the supervision of QMHP
·(QMHP) Master’s or doctoral degree in appropriate field or Licensed Registered Nurse and has experience in mental health or human services.

HRDI is seeking Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) and/or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) to coordinate all daily case management and outpatient community services under the general direction of the Program Director. In accordance with policies, procedures and protocols established by HRDI standards of practice and licensing and certificate and other regulatory agencies requirements.
In addition, the LCPC/LCSW will:
•Provides clinical supervision, support and leadership to the Assertive Community Treatment and/or Community Support Team including case management.
•Conduct weekly meetings with team members to review and evaluate processes and services.
•Collaborate with State Operated Mental Health Facilities to plan services for individuals referred, pending discharge from inpatient care.
•Participate in trainings and pursue opportunities for professional growth and development
•Support the philosophy of recovery and consumer empowerment
•Review and complete all personnel documentation (i.e. vacation requests, etc.) for team members
•Monitor the implementation of case management services to ensure compliance with licensing, funding, and accreditation requirements of COA, CARF, and others as relevant.
•Provide on-call coverage for client clinical emergencies and incidents as needed
•Assist Program Director in preparing management reports, such as outcome data studies
•Monitor client’s records and billing forms to ensure that documentation is in compliance with all applicable standards.
•Performs other duties as assigned by Program Director
This position requires a minimum:
•Bachelor’s, Master’s and/or Ph.D. in related human services field from an accredited university, with appropriate license from the State of Illinois (LCPC, LCSW, APN, etc.)
•Previous supervisory experience desired
•Strong verbal, written, and organizational skills
•Working knowledge of how to plan and implement consumer focused clinical services
•Ability to complete assignments on time and function in a teamwork setting
•Sensitivity to multi-cultural differences and ability to relate to people of all socioeconomic groups

HRDI is seeking a Marketing and Resource Development Coordinator. The Marketing and Resource Development Coordinator will be responsible for providing day-to-day public relation communications and operations under the general supervision of the President.
In addition, the Marketing and Resource Development Coordinator will:
•Prepares production of the agency Annual Report to be distributed no later than first quarter.
•Develops various publications including agency brochures, newsletters, and press releases covering a variety of subjects indigenous to HRDI.
•Keep records of all HRDI functions including photo albums, video and audits.
•Prepare and develop a public relations plan for the agency.
•Establishes policies, procedures, organization and systems for implementing the various planned programs of fund raising.
•Establishes policies and procedures for effective functioning of Communications-Public Relations (fund raising related activities).
•Establishes broad open lines of communication for the effective transmittal and reception of information within the agency departments.
•Design promotional materials for all HRDI national programs.
•Keep abreast of current development in Public Relations by joining committees, organizations and attending special events.
•Maintain a professional relationship with external associations, legislative and funding sources.
•Responsible for research, writing, submission and tracking of corporation, foundation grants
•Facilitates, reviews, and edits grant proposals; conducts library and electronic research; compiles data; composes letters; maintains resource development files
•Conducts research on potential funding sources for all HRDI programs, locally and nationally
•Monitors new prospect research development and postings; conferences and training sessions
•Collaborate with President and CEO on strategic planning efforts
This position requires at minimum:
•BA degree in communications, journalism or related field.
•Proficient and effective communication skills, excellent writing skills and highly effective at personnel communication, organizational and motivation.
•At least two (2) years experience

This is a full-time position responsible for providing direct clinical services including intake assessment and treatment planning. The applicant must: • Maintain session summaries and client progress notes. • Provide written documentation to agencies as required. • Assist in program case review. • Be able to work with and treat addicted substance abuse clients. This position is responsible for maintaining appropriate clinical documentation and compliance with recordkeeping standards.
